the next stop on our accessible goa trip tookus to the contemporary art museum of goa in bardez. as you can see, there is a rampedentrance which is slightly steep (about 1:10 gradient) which is doable easily with assistancebut quite difficult for a wheelchair user to get up alone. just heading towards thereception, the desk is a good height (just over 1 metre high). you'll also notice there'spretty good horizontal circulation space,
Se Cathedral Goa India, plenty of space for a wheelchair user to easilyget around. we're just heading outside towards the cafeteria area. you'll notice there'sa ledge by the sliding doors (no dropped kerb) and problematic for a wheelchair/whitecane user (cafeteria is just to the left) you'll also notice wide gaps betweenthe tiled pavings (10 cm in places).
these could be problematic as a wheelchair couldget caught here. we're now heading back towards the main entrance, you can see the slopeof the ramp again from a different angle. so we're heading straight in again, just passingthe reception on the left and we're going to head towards the bathrooms. notice again, the nice space. there's a staircase just ahead but there's also a lift which we'll take alook at in the second part of this tour. unfortunately there's no accessible bathroom within thepremises.
