it is the first planned city of india. and the name panjim itself means, 'city that never floods.' it is famous for beautiful houses, beautiful roads and side walks. lets go check out. i am at miramar beach with sayali and pallavi. so how is life in goa? it's good. it's peaceful. miramar beach is also famous for its street food.
i am at dona paula. this place is named after, wait a minute, paula amaral antonio de sauto maior. she was daughter of a portuguese viceroy of sri lanka. she arrived here in 1644. she was a woman of charity and she worked for the betterment of villagers. our lady of immaculate conception. there was a little chapel built over here in 1541.
later in 1600s they built this huge church. the boroque style architecture is so beautiful. this church have appeared in many indian films. alright. thanks sayali and pallavi for showing me around. -bye-bye i landed into some holy funfair. look at the lights. it is so colourful over here. i woke up this morning to find myself in the middle of a cricket tournament.
